This talented group brings a fresh and fun take on early jazz and Texas Swing, covering classics from Fats Waller to the Texas Playboys. With their acoustic arch top guitars, fiddle, double bass, and rich harmony vocals, they create an authentic, lively sound that’s sure to get you swinging along.
Their unique acoustic approach breathes new life into well-known jazz standards, while also re-imagining Texas Swing hits that once filled dance halls across the southern United States from the 1940s to the 1970s. Whether they’re playing at clubs, festivals, parties, or dance venues, The Swing Beans always deliver a performance full of energy and joy.
The band features Lisa Lombardi and Julie Witney on guitars and vocals, Heather Smart on violin, and Roger Brand on double bass and vocals. Bar notice: Just a heads-up that our bar is cash-only. But don’t worry, you can easily grab some cash at the front counter using your EFTPOS card. We’ve noticed a few puzzled faces when it comes to this setup, so we want to make sure everyone’s in the loop! This way, you won’t miss a beat (or a drink) during the performances.
